Under the auspices of the Inter American Press Association, the Fundación para el Periodismo (Bolivia), and Proyecto Desconfío (Argentina), the 3rd edition of the Global Summit on Disinformation 2023 is preparing to bring together the brightest and most committed minds in the battle against disinformation. September 27-28 will mark a milestone in the global media calendar, bringing together more than 20 international speakers and participants from over 40 countries in a virtual platform of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
With the support of Google News Initiative, International Fact-Checking Network, United Nations Argentina, and BancoSol de Bolivia, this totally virtual, free, and bilingual edition of the Summit opens its doors to a global audience with prior registration.
Call for Fact-Checking Projects
One of the initiatives highlighted in the program is the "Ronda de Proyectos". This Open Call is sponsored by the International Fact Checking Network (IFCN) and is intended for fact-checking media and platforms that want to present their finished or ongoing projects, as well as share successful experiences or technological developments for the detection and verification of false information.
This year, the Summit is honored to have the leadership of Bolivia Verifica (Bolivia) and Infoveritas (Spain), recognized leaders in the field of fact-checking, who will be in charge of the selection of the projects presented.
